Remember when Honda actually put their name on their cars?
Pepperidge Farm remembers.

They had a reason to be proud of that name in the Soichiro years and for a few years after.

Yes. And I remember when I loved driving a Honda too. Now it's just kinda blah.

I’ve not actually noticed the lack of the Honda name on the rear any more.

Right answer. That’s what the “H” in the center is for.

From what I can tell, it happened much more recently in Europe than other markets. For example, the 5th gen Prelude still had a Honda name badge on the trunk in Europe, while elsewhere it did not. It also had full-fledged badges for the trim levels while everywhere else only had stickers, except for the JDM Type S.

Ye’, there is a 2008 Honda Accord which is often parked in front of my house (the woman works at one of the bakeries at the end of the street) which as I recall doesn’t have the Honda badge written on the rear.
